Open Workplace Toolkit: Empowering Employers and their Employees to Create Inclusive Professional Environments for All Families and Relationships

We are delighted to share access to our Open Workplace Toolkit, which provides guidance for those interested in advocating for organizational norms, policies, and practices that create a supportive environment for employees who participate in consensual non-monogamy and other stigmatized relationship and family structures. Organizations such as JP Morgan Chase, Dell, Microsoft, and AirBnb have recently led the way in efforts in this area, with actions including adding 'family and relationship structure' to their employee handbooks and nondiscrimination statements as a protected class, forming employee groups nested under LGBTQ+ and/or Family ERGs, and pursuing expanded Benefits programs. The Open Workplaces Initiative is a joint program of OPEN and the Modern Family Institute.
