Listen Now: All Things Considered covers Oakland’s new laws protecting diverse families

We were thrilled to work behind the scenes with KQED to help create a story on our recent legislative victory in Oakland for All Things Considered, a national daily broadcast by NPR! The 3-minute episode is hosted by Lesley McClurg, a KQED Health Correspondent, who we’ve worked with previously in coverage of the passage of nondiscrimination legislation passed by Oakland and Berkeley City Councils for diverse relationships and families. The story discusses the impact and significance of the new legislation from various perspectives including advocates, critics, and citizens who are now protected by the laws.
